Exciting News: TracerPlus v10.8 Coming Soon with New Features and Enhancements!
We’re excited to announce the upcoming release of TracerPlus v10.8, which is expected to launch in mid-November 2024. Packed with new features, system enhancements, and a few key updates – here’s a look at what’s coming, along with important details on how to prepare for the update.
1. New Features and Enhancements
Device Support Expansion:
TracerPlus v10.8 expands support for more devices, now including the Zebra TC53e-RFID. This addition will help streamline workflows and open up new possibilities for users utilizing this high-performance hardware.
Improved Connectivity:
We’ve enhanced compatibility with a range of Zebra devices and other popular hardware manufacturers. These improvements will help ensure consistent, seamless connectivity in various environments.
2. System Requirement Updates
To make the most of this release, please take note of the updated system requirements:
Minimum Android OS Requirement:
Starting with v10.8, TracerPlus will require Android OS version 8 or higher. Devices running an OS version lower than 8 will not be eligible for this update, although your current TracerPlus installation will remain unaffected if you’re unable to upgrade.
Target Android OS Version:
As Google advances its Android OS versions, we’re aligning with these improvements by targeting Android 14 for TracerPlus v10.8. This alignment ensures that we keep pace with industry standards and deliver a better user experience.
3. Licensing Updates for Perpetual License Users
For those using TracerPlus under the “Perpetual License” model, we’ve made some updates to the licensing process:
New Registration Code Requirement:
To continue using TracerPlus without interruption, perpetual license users on v10.8 will need a new registration code. Only those with an active support agreement will be able to obtain a registration code for this latest version. You can request your code here.
Automatic Updates Warning:
If you have automatic updates enabled on the Google Play Store, TracerPlus may automatically update to v10.8 upon its release. To avoid this, we recommend disabling automatic updates in your Play Store settings if you want to delay updating. Otherwise, you may require a new registration code to continue using TracerPlus without interruption on the new version.
